What is coaching?
‘Coaching’ is a much-used term and coaches exist in every shape and form. All coaches ask probing questions. We are best described as ‘reflective practitioners’, whose coaching may be supplemented by advice.
The object of our coaching is to support leaders and to inspire them in their leadership roles. Given the hectic nature of working life at senior management level, this allows them to reflect on events and to make sense of experiences: ‘Where am I now and what do I want to achieve?’ This leads to insight and improvement of self-management ability. The development of leadership qualities increases the chance of the organisation as a whole growing in the direction envisaged.
Since we are able to mobilise our extensive business and our own managerial experience we are also able to offer well-considered advice and recommendations, when required. |
